The strategic goal of this programme is to strengthen relations, raise capacities and share experience among people and organisations from Latvia, Lithuania and Belarus through implementation of joined actions aimed at increasing the overall quality of life in the border regions.

Project ObjectiveThe project is aimed to promote preservation, availability and development of the intangible culture and local history heritage by improving sustainable culture tourism competitiveness in Latvia, Lithuania and Belarus.
Project DescriptionThe project focuses on intangible cultural heritage. The joint partner work should contribute to the preservation of the heritage, the increase in its accessibility and use to improve the sustainable culture tourism competitiveness. The project outcomes are expected to be the following: increasing the number of tourists, ensuring more sustainable efficient use of assets, increasing cultural vitality, attractiveness, strengthening regional identity. Rich heritage should be presented with the use of modern methods and technologies. Within the framework of the Project implementation, 9 interactive expositions (3D-expositions, 3D-virtual reality) will be created, events of various directions will be held (5 workshops, 6 training programs on the traditional culture of each region, 3 international festivals). All this will become an effective translator for future generations and will present the similarities and differences of our cultures. One of the Project activities will be the interaction of partner masters with partner designers, aimed at promoting local products in a more competitive way. After targeted needs assessment, 3 joint tourist routes will be developed, passing through the territories of the the project partners’ regions, including craft tourism routes, the promotion of which will contribute to the study of intangible cultural heritage sites, broaden the knowledge about famous people, events related to their activities.
