The strategic goal of this programme is to strengthen relations, raise capacities and share experience among people and organisations from Latvia, Lithuania and Belarus through implementation of joined actions aimed at increasing the overall quality of life in the border regions.

Project ObjectiveThe project is aimed to promote and preserve regional culinary heritage and craft traditions in Latgale region (LV), Anyksciai and Kupiskis districts (LT), Polotsk, Minsk and Zelva districts (BY), therefore strengthening regional identity, sense of belonging and positively affecting local economic activities.
Project DescriptionDuring the project implementation, the culinary heritage entrepreneurs, craftsmen and tourism experts from the Latgale, Anyksciai, Kupiskis, Polotsk, Zelva and Minsk will gain new knowledge. Within the framework of the project implementation, experience exchange, training workshops and study tours to the project partners’ areas, 4 cultural history festivals, 3 brochures with national recipes and a joint publication will be organized to popularize culinary heritage and craft tourism.
The project provides for creation of 2 craft centers, the reconstruction of the building of the Graf Plater Palace complex in Kraslava and the premises of the Tourist Center in Polotsk; 2 centers of culinary heritage in Anyksciai and Kupiskis with purchasing professional equipment to organize thematic workshops. In total, 4 historic buildings will be repaired and equipped.
